I'm a Canadian student who studied medicine in the UK. I found CanadaQBank extremely helpful in preparing for the MCCEE. The types of questions are really well tailored to the exam, and the explanations and videos for each question were extremely useful! It is definitely one of the most effective ways of preparing for the MCCEE, and I strongly recommend it.

Hi, I´m a general practitioner from Mexico. I moved to Canada last year, but I graduated Med school in 2019. After graduating, I have had many jobs, but my real focus was on neurology. I started studying for the MCCQE1 Exam in September of 2022 using Toronto Notes, but mostly I used CanadaQBank to help me to study. It was difficult to study because I was dealing with many things in that time. I wrote the exam the first time in February 2023, but sadly was 17 points short of passing. My second attempt was in May(I studied 50 days), this time I passed. I believe the difference this time was that I read through all of the Toronto Notes, ethics from CMPA and doing all of the questions from CanadaQBank.

Hello, My name is Guilherme I´m a physician in Brazil and MSc in cardiogenetics. Since 2017 I have been planning to do my residency in Canada, so I planned my self to do MCCQE1 and NAC OSCE. In 2022 by the end of my internship, I started studying to do the exam, I was studying 4 hours daily, using flashcards, and different Qbanks, however, I was worried about how the exam would be like. For this reason, I signed CanadaQbank because it was a dedicated Qbank for the MCCQE1. I enjoyed a lot studying with it! The format of the questions is similar to the actual exam, it makes you familiar with the units they use and the best part is the short answers question because there is no other Q bank that I know that helps you prepare for this type of questions. In September last year, I performed the MCCQEI and got a pass with a very good performance, p90! I feel very confident that CanadaQbank helped me to this success!

I was fortunate enough to have studied medicine in one of the best medical programmes in Africa at the University of Cape Town. It is a six year programme and provides one with all the exposure that a medical doctor working in South Africa requires - ranging from the PHC clinic to quaternary facilities. I graduated in 2021 and am currently a second year intern. CanadaQBank was extremely useful to me on my journey to writing the MCCQE Part 1 because it gave me insight into what is emphasised for doctors practising in Canada and which healthcare issues are considered most important in the Canadian environment. It also allowed me to study on the go as I was able to do the tests and review the answers when I had breaks while at work. With the help of CanadaQBank I managed to pass the MCCQE Part 1 on my first attempt. I am ecstatic that I have passed and am one step closer to forming part of the Canadian healthcare system.

Experienced family physician in full time employment and a young family so little time to prepare for the exam. I used CanadaQBank for 6-8 months, mostly 30-60 minutes/ day, completed all the questions and repeated those I got wrong the first time, I passed on my first attempt I loved the explanation section for both the MCQs and CDMs, had a free trial of other question banks but I found the CanadaQBank far better and I learned so much from the detailed answers, it is possibly tougher than the actual exam, the ethics and communication questions are most relevant to the actual exam

We recently graduated medical school and I am just starting as a fresh PGY1 resident in Canada. Recently, I got the e-mail that we at last had our result for the MCCQE (part 1) that we wrote several months ago. I had spent about a month solid studying with CanadaQBank as it was much more affordable than some of the other options. I appreciated how difficult the practice questions were on CanadaQBank. It was frustrating at first as I began scoring around 50% and sometimes even lower. A lot of the material I learned through CanadaQBank was never covered in medical school, like treatment for suspected rabies for example. At first I was worried that I would never learn all the material, but there were great explanations after each question that I got wrong and even short and very concise videos on most topics with just enough information to fill a flash card. After dozens of practice tests, and weeks of pouring over my flash cards, I slowly climbed to the high 60%'s. There are loads of options to adjust the scope and difficulty of your practice tests, but I left everything broad and difficult to prepare me for the real exam. The day of the exam, my head was packed with knowledge and I was very prepared to write the big test! I am very pleased to be finished with the score well above the passing grade. Nothing could stop me now and I have all the momentum I need to impress my preceptors my PGY1 year! Thanks, CanadaQBank!

I am an IMG from the Philippines and I took and passed my MCCQE1 exams last October 2022. I used the Canada QBank for 6 months to prepare for the exam and I felt that it was almost similar to the way the exams are formatted (at a more affordable price) and questions are short and easy to understand. Thus, it was a good way to practice for the exam and the supplementary reading material discussing the answers and the videos also helped me to understand some of the topics more easily.

I am a South African graduate from University of Cape Town who qualified in 1994, a family physician in private practice for 26 years. I was quite anxious about writing the MCCQE1, but was recommended to CanadaQBank by a friend and colleague who had passed on her first attempt 3 years ago. The site is thorough and well organised. I did all 3300 of the multiple choice questions, and all 366 of the CDM Clinical Decision Making cases which comprise 1000 questions – once right through. Ideally, I would have liked to do them a second time, but a busy work schedule did not allow. I spent 5 months studying in the evenings after work, and on weekends when I could. I made comprehensive notes from the explanations provided, which I have found invaluable to refer back to. I was not able to save/store the information in any other way except by hand, as the site does not allow copy-pasting for obvious copyright reasons. I started studying on the QBank by initially generating random tests in one subject at a time, for example Internal Medicine, but I soon found what was best to cover a given topic most thoroughly was to select all questions in one topic off the provided list, which I found best for learning and note-making. I made my own reference index of these, so my CanadaQBank study notebooks can be used again by other family members of mine who also intend to write. I supplemented my studies somewhat with Toronto Notes reading, but actually in retrospect realize that in most cases, the relevant info was contained in the explanatory notes that accompanied each question by CanadaQBank themselves, so additional reading was not really required much. I would highly recommend that the CDM questions ALL be done – do NOT omit these for lack of time, as they are invaluable. The exam format was not identical, but the content is covered decently, and there is much to be gained by completing them. I was quite anxious about these exams as I qualified so many years ago, but to my surprise I passed on my first attempt by a solid margin, with a mark I was quite satisfied with. I am not sure what my centile was, but judging from what see on other testimonials online, my pass of 265 I assume placed me around the 70th. I am thrilled with my pass and very grateful for the help to all the many contributors who have taken time to compile the information on the site, and to their helpful email desk.

I'm a graduate of 2015, GP. I decided last year to give myself a chance to try to become licensed in Canada. I studied from TN for 10 months and at the same time used Canada Qbank for 6 months to test my self on the topics I was reading. I felt this was a great way to sharpen the knowledge, as well as learning about time management, which is key on the exam day. You might have all the knowledge, but if you run out of time, all the knowledge becomes useless. Stay focused, and good luck!

I am an International Medical Graduate from Rwanda where I completed medical school 10 years ago and Residency in Internal Medicine 6 years ago. I wrote the USMLE step 2 CK 5 years ago, I had an idea on how these exams look like and knew what to expect in a prometric center and on the exam day. Although I don't think the content is similar for MCCQE1 and Step 2 CK, this was a useful experience to have. I am also currently undertaking a fellowship in Endocrinology at one of the Universities in Canada, so I think I had some understanding in health system in Canada. I used Toronto notes and CanadaQBank to prepare. I had initially purchased a 3 month subscription but I wouldn't have enough time and I had to postpone my scheduled exam due to a conflicting exam in my fellowship. I had 2 weeks of fully dedicated time to prepare the MCCQE1 exam. I was scoring 65% on the Qbank ( Unused questions only). I scored 246 on the real exam. I hope this testimonial can inspire many IMGs from Africa, it's feasible.
