When you login to your QBank, it directly takes you to the create test page with all the popular test parameters preset for you. CanadaQBank gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself against other users by taking tests in timed mode. Your results will reveal how well you performed when compared to all users who took tests with a similar combination of questions.
CanadaQBank has created a feature within each MCQ that allows you to place the selected question in a separate section for future reference and revision. This feature is called "My Questions" and with it you can add a particular MCQ to your selected list of questions that can be reviewed at a later stage.
You can add your own notes inside each MCQ and review them at a later stage. This makes the learning process more interesting and allows you to review your own notes during revisions.
In fact you can take the "notes" feature one step further. Create your notes within the MCQ and then add the MCQ to the "My Questions" section. These questions with notes can be reviewed on a separate section of the user interface. This creates a highly impressive overall customization and greatly enhances your quality of learning.
Everybody has to start somewhere. Perhaps you are a medical student starting your preparation early or a well experienced physician who has lost touch with academics. You can now start with the "Easy" level of questions and then gradually work your way up to the "Medium" and "Hard" difficulty levels.
Learning moods will vary from time to time. Which means that you may need to introduce variety into your learning regimen. So rather than using the typical test mode, you can use the "topics mode" and master one topic at a time. The ultimate goal is to keeping moving forward regardless of your learning style. The topics mode helps you move ahead one small step at a time.
The Saudi Medical Licensing Exam (SMLE) is an essential exam that you must write first, or you cannot be licensed to practice as a doctor in the country. It can be written in different countries other than Saudi Arabia. You need an eligibility number given to you by the Saudi Commission for Health if you’ll be writing the exam in Saudi Arabia. However, you don’t need an eligibility number to take the SMLE in other countries.
The SMLE is an exam that lasts for around six hours and has 300 MCQs. It is written on a computer, each question has four choices, and you need to pick the accurate answer. About 20 questions from this 300 are not graded; they are called pilot questions. The examination is partitioned into three sections with breaks in between. This means that each part has 100 questions and is allocated 120 minutes. However, you can choose to use your breaks as you deem fit.
At the point of examination, you must submit a valid ID. This could be a passport or a resident ID. Also, if you come more than 30 minutes late to the examination, you will have to forfeit it.
You can attempt the SMLE four times annually to get a passing score.
If you pass but are not satisfied with your score, you can rewrite it two more times. After this, if you are not still satisfied with the scores from the following year, you can attempt the exam once every year.
Note that a higher SMLE score means better residency. So, do well to get a good score.
